Zoom!® is a professional in-office whitening system. A high-concentration whitening gel is applied to your teeth and activated with a special lamp in a series of short cycles. Stains that have built up over years of coffee, tea, wine and time are lifted in one appointment. Most patients leave several shades brighter than they arrived.
It's a treatment more often found in downtown Toronto practices, and we're pleased to offer it in Owen Sound at a flat price of $399 for uninsured patients. That includes the in-office session and a take-home kit for touch-ups so your results last.
Whitening is safe when done properly, and doing it under a dentist's supervision means your gums are protected, your teeth are checked beforehand, and sensitivity is managed rather than ignored.

We confirm your teeth and gums are healthy and record your starting shade. A cleaning beforehand gives the best result.

Lips and gums are covered with a barrier so only the teeth are exposed to the gel.

Good to know
Before and after your session
For the first 48 hours, avoid anything that would stain a white shirt: coffee, tea, red wine, dark sauces, berries and tobacco. Your teeth are more porous immediately after whitening. Some sensitivity for a day or two is normal and passes; using a sensitivity toothpaste for a week beforehand helps.
Zoom!® is best for adults with healthy teeth and gums and stains that are yellow or brown rather than grey. Existing crowns, veneers and fillings won't change colour. If you're unsure whether you're a good candidate, book a short consult first; there's no obligation.

Does Zoom!® hurt?
Most people feel nothing during the session. Some notice brief sharp twinges toward the end or that evening. It settles within a day or two.
How many shades will I get?
It varies with your starting colour and the type of stain. Several shades is typical; we'll give you a realistic estimate at the check beforehand.
How long does it last?
Commonly a year or more, longer with the take-home touch-ups and by going easy on staining drinks.
Is $399 the full price?
Yes, for uninsured patients: the in-office session and take-home touch-up kit. Whitening is cosmetic, so insurance plans generally don't cover it.
Should I get a cleaning first?
It's a good idea. Removing plaque and surface stain first lets the gel work evenly. Our $199 cleaning promotion pairs well with it.
