Every age, one office
Children, parents and grandparents can all be seen here, often on the same day.
From a toddler's first visit to a grandparent's dentures, we look after every stage of life at 940 1st Ave. W., the same address Owen Sound families have trusted for over 50 years.

Riverside West Dental has been part of Owen Sound for more than 50 years. Since December 2024 the practice has been under new ownership, led by Dr. Sukhpreet Mander, but the idea behind it hasn't changed: a comfortable place where parents, kids and grandparents can all be seen by a team that knows them.
Family dentistry simply means we care for every age. That includes routine exams and cleanings, fillings, children's visits, gum care with our hygienist, and the restorative work adults and seniors tend to need later on, such as crowns, root canals, implants and dentures. Because so much is done under one roof, you rarely need to be sent across town.
We also try to make the practical side easy. Family members can often be booked back to back, we direct-bill the Canadian Dental Care Plan, Healthy Smiles Ontario, ODSP, Ontario Works and most private insurers, and Tuesday evenings until 7:00 PM help with school and work schedules.
Children, parents and grandparents can all be seen here, often on the same day.
We stay open until 7:00 PM on Tuesdays so visits don't have to mean missed school or work.
We bill CDCP, Healthy Smiles Ontario, ODSP, Ontario Works and most private plans for you.
Your records, X-rays and history stay in one place, so nothing gets lost between visits.
Call (519) 371-9415 and let us know who's coming. We'll try to group appointments so you make one trip.
Each person gets a full check of teeth, gums and soft tissues, with digital X-rays only when they're needed.
Richa, our hygienist, adjusts her approach for a nervous six-year-old or a senior with sensitive gums.
If anything needs attention, we explain the options and costs and let you decide the timing.
If you or a family member may qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan, we can help with the sign-up in the office. Children in eligible families may be covered by Healthy Smiles Ontario, and we accept ODSP and Ontario Works as well.
For private plans such as GreenShield, Manulife, Sun Life and Canada Life, we submit claims electronically and you pay only the portion your plan doesn't cover.
If your question isn't here, call us. A real person picks up during office hours.
Yes. We welcome new patients and families from Owen Sound and across Grey-Bruce. Call the office and we'll get you started with a first appointment.
Usually, yes. Let us know when you book and we'll do our best to schedule your family in one visit.
Tell us. We go at your pace, explain each step before we do it, and never rush a nervous patient. Many people find that a first visit that's just a conversation and an exam makes the next one easier.
For most people, a cleaning and check-up every six months works well. We'll suggest a different schedule if gum health, cavity history or a medical condition calls for it.
We do. Bring your information and we'll walk you through the application in the office, then direct-bill the plan once you're approved.
Send a request and Sandy or Shantell will call you back during office hours to find a time that fits. Emergencies: please phone us directly.
